Do you offer free quotes and site visits?
Yes — completely free and no obligation. We come to you, measure properly, bring samples so you can see them in your own light, and give you a fixed price. No pressure and no upselling.
How much does carpet fitting cost in Bristol?
It depends on the carpet grade, the size and shape of the room, and whether the old floor needs lifting — but your quote is fixed before anything starts, and underlay, grippers and doorbars are included.

What carpet type and pile weight should I choose?

How soon can you fit the carpet?
Usually within 24 hours for a small job and 48 for a larger one, provided your carpet is in stock. We give you a date at the quote and stick to it.
Do you remove and dispose of the old carpet?
Yes, and it's included in a supply-and-fit quote — carpet, underlay and gripper lifted and taken away, with the floor left ready.
What happens if you find damp or rot underneath?
We stop and show you. Around one in six old floors we lift has damp or rot somewhere, usually at a back door threshold or under an old washing machine, and most of it is a small patch.
We price the repair before doing any of it, and if it's really a job for a builder or a damp specialist we'll tell you that instead of pretending otherwise.
What kind of underlay do you use?
It depends on the room. A 10–11mm PU is the sweet spot for bedrooms and lounges. Stairs and hallways want firmer and thinner, around 8mm — thick soft underlay lets the carpet roll over the nosing and feel spongy underfoot.
We name the underlay in your quote so you know exactly what you're getting.
Can you fit carpet over underfloor heating?
Yes, within limits. The carpet and underlay combined need to stay at or under roughly 2.5 tog, which means a low-tog underlay and a short, dense pile. We check both ratings against your system before anything is ordered.
How do I choose the right carpet colour?
Take samples home and live with them for a couple of days — showroom lighting and Bristol daylight are two different things.
For busy areas, a flecked mid-tone disguises wear far better than a plain one, whether it's light or dark. Plain carpet shows everything.
